What substrate is suitable for concrete plaster in exterior areas?
Before applying concrete plaster in exterior areas, it is necessary to check the substrate. Whether it is house facades or bases, the substrate should be solid and crack-free. Concrete plaster can be applied to any absorbent substrate - a primer is included in the package, which serves to solidify the substrate and increase its mechanical strength. Suitable surfaces include core plaster, drywall, stucco, lost formwork, and old concrete. If needed, you can level and reinforce the substrate with adhesive and perlite. Minor irregularities can be corrected with concrete plaster.
TIP:
In the case of old plaster and cracks, the substrate must first be insulated against moisture, for example with a waterproofing layer.
